    Default Need Advice And Suggestions....

    I own a Nikon L120 Point and Shoot camera with 21x zoom and also Nikon P500 Semi SLR with 36x zoom. M planning to buy an SLR and needs advice and suggestions for it... M a wildlife photographer especially birds and mammals also involved in Macro Photography and Portraits...

    The details of the Gear I am Willing to Buy is following....

    Nikon D5100 16.1MP, 11AF point and 3D Focus Tracking, Max ISO 6400 4fps
    Including Kit Lens 18-55, f/3.5-5.6 VR
    Additional Lens 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 AF-S VR IF-ED (IF- Internal Focusing,ED-Extra Low Dispersion)

    Help me with this Gear... And Advices and Suggestions will be great...

    One lens will not fit all requirements.

    If you are also interested in macro, then I suggest that you buy the 100mm f2.8 macro first. You can add other lenses later.

    I had given the same suggestion to Abhishek and you can see his images in the others section. You have the option of buying a Canon 550D body which will come cheaper. You can also look at options of buying a body second hand from people who would be upgrading.

    I would repeat my suggestion that don't blindly buy equipment. Build up your collection slowly. Buy only the good things.

    So first buy the EF 100mm f2.8 macro lens. It is a great lens. And buy a body based on your budget. There were good deals on 550D body. You can also check for 600D body.
