    Default Spider, Hebbal Lake, Bangalore

    A species of jumping spider. Any positive ID earns a beer Could be a spidress with an egg sac.

    40D, MP-E-65, MT-24-EX flash, manual exposure, f14 @ 1/200 second.

    This is at twice life size and a near full frame.

    wow...very detailed. Only thing i know about spider is 'Females are huge compare to males'

    I have seen dad catching spiders for his research during my childhood days, but never developed an interest on spiders. :-(

    Lets see who gets the id right.

    Great image! Looks like something from a 1950's sci-fi movie. Spider id is very difficult, nearly impossible unless you've done a Ph.D. on it!! :-)

    Sabyasachi, what job did your dad do? it sounds interesting... I too am interested in a career in zoological research
