Default Tiger in slow shutter speed

    Bandipur Tiger Reserve.

I had posted a previous image here:
Quenching thirst despite crazy photographers and tourists - Indiawilds: Land of the Tiger. Conservation, Wildlife Photography, Communities

The previous image was that of the tigress. This is the cub drinking water at several feet away. So lighting is different.

The photographers were rocking the boat (err jeep). During a lull in the movement, I clicked this. Reduced the ISO to 200 and clicked handheld at 1/50.

Canon EOS 1D Mark IV, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII, ISO 200, F5.6, 1/50, full frame image, handheld.

I am no Bheema or Hanuman. So I never expected a sharp image at 1/50 shutter speed handholding the heavy lens. When this is viewed at 100%, this still doesn't meet my critical sharpness standards. Some folks regularly do selective sharpening. I knowingly don't.
