    Nice to see a pair of Common Teals. The preening pose is nice. What were the EXIF details? Was this taken from a boat? Thanks for sharing.

    Dear Mrudul thanks for the comment. This was taken from the shore hand held somehow the picture is a lot less sharp after cropping and storing as JPEG than the original

    Default saving files

    i am using the digital photo professional software from canon. from the file menu i choose convert and save as exif jpeg resolution default 350 dpi and resize the image to 1200 800

    The maximum image size allowed here is 1024 pixels on the longest side and a total file size of max 300kb. So when you upload files of size 1200 by 800, the software automatically resizes the image and the quality goes down.

    So I would advise you to resize the images to max 1000 pixels on the longest side and check to make sure that the file size is less than 300kb. If not then you have to reduce the 350 dpi to lower.
