    Default Curtain raiser: 5 tigers

The sighting of a lone tiger cub which then slowly transformed to a family affair was one among the most exciting moments in the wild for me
It was heartening to see the entire family closely knit together. More images of the cubs to come soon.

Lovely image of 5 tigers in a single frame Bhargava. This water body seemns to be the favoiurite place for the tigress and her cubs. Remember an earlier post from Gajanan with 5 tigers in a single frame and the place looks pretty similar to that.

With a 300mm f/2.8 a tc with 2x would also give good results, any specific reason you coupled it with 1.4x?

    Thanks for sharing.

Lovely sighting. Nice to see the whole family relaxing by the water. How long was the sighting? The cubs look quite big, maybe they will be separating in a few months. Thanks for sharing.

    Sabyasachi,

Looking at the high shutter speed, I could have stopped down to f8 or so even, but given the fact that I was standing on the seat and shooting handheld, combined with the slight chance that I'd get to shoot some action made me keep the shutter speed as high as possible.

    regards
    Bhargava
