    Got a good shot of this indian roller while flying

    Nice rare flight image of this colourful bird which is usually photographed when it perches on a branch/pole in the open for quite sometime unmoved.
    The striking blue colour of the bird and wingspread are well documented.Nice eye contact.

    It is,as if I was waiting to see and enjoy, after the writing of Late Shri M.Krishnan on the Indian Roller was posted in Natural History column on 25-March-2012.

    Nice flight image. I agree with Saktipadaji, it is quite difficult to photograph a Roller in flight. To photograph birds in flights it is good to have a high shutter speed of atleast 1/1000 to get good details. Using a higher ISO of 400 would have helped to get a higher shutter speed. There seems to be some loss in details. Is this a crop? Thanks for sharing.

    Mrudul Mam its not cropped but as you know they fly at good speed and it was difficult to change the settings but next time i will do better then this..

    A higher shutter speed would be better in freezing the wings. Eye contact is fine. Thanks for sharing.
