    Default Leopard, Kabini

This leopard stayed in a tree with its kill for almost three days. Completely satiated, it hardly moved. This was the one time it turned around to settle down.

EOS 40D, 500f4 + 1.4x, ISO 400, near full frame (cropped to suit the proportions of my monitor).

Thanks for looking. Comments and critique welcome.

Fantastic image. But couldn't you have avoided the twig in front of it, perhaps by moving a bit to the left? (I understand photographing leopards must be really difficult)

Hi, nope the twig was unavoidable. This cat barely moved at all, I have shots with the head in different positions but the twig is always present. One of the problems is that in the excitement of the moment, you don't see the twig. Having said that, because of the foliage this was shot on manual focus.

Tomorrow, I shall post this wonderful animal's reaction to us chattering classes.

I would have loved to move to the left. Moving to the right would have been good as well. It is good that both the eyes are clear.

Look forward to the other in the series.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
