    Default -Hulk of TATR-

This generously proportioned male tiger of the telia region is called the wagdoh male. The guy is enormous and usually seen lying around in small waterholes in its area. Extremely affectionate father, his size and loads of attitude makes him an unmissable attraction at tadoba this season. Its a shame though that I missed the hind leg by an inch.

    Specs:
    Canon EOS 7D+300mm f/4L IS USM +1.4x
    Tv 1/2500
    Av 7.1
    Ev 0
    ISO 1000

The wagdoh male is definitely the most talked about guy off late. I've heard from a few about him too. I think Gajanan has posted a few images of him taking care of his cubs also. Beautiful image, huge guy. Like the raised paw. Thanks for sharing.

The raised paw looks nice. Seems he just had a meal . Why ISO 1000? I think a lower ISO would have sufficed. Agree including the hind leg would have strengthened the composition further. Thanks for sharing.

Good to see your wish of seeing him has come real The raised front paw is nice. It's just fine if you missed the hind leg; you'll get it in the next visit. Precisely why I prefer shooting tigers that aren't far away without extenders

Also, with a shutter speed that high, I'd be sticking around at a much lower ISO..something around 1/400sec is just about ok to freeze this motion. On the lighter sense, I wish you had a head turn from him just so that you could have scared kids showing him :P

    Cheers

I would have been equally surprised if I had seen the same ISO on someone else's picture with this good light. The fact of the matter is that the tiger was in an area lot darker than this one before it finally managed to sneak out and into the water hole. The time this guy takes to stroll is really less due to the huge size and if i had taken the time out to change the iso i would have certainly missed the shot.
