    Default Crocodile at Sunderban

Photographed this crocodile lying on the banks in Sunderbans. As our launch came closer it immediately got into water.

Canon 50D, 100-400 mm L IS USM, ISO 400, 1/1000, f9, hand held, full frame

    Comments and critiques welcome..

It was a nice sighting. The tide waters have receded and this crocodile was up in the bank. I just got a brief clip as this guy slid into the water pretty fast. This one was a fraction of the size of that huge crocodile I had posted earlier. Good that you could convert this image and share. I have a huge backlog of images to process and films to edit.

    Nice image.Fine details.
A text book photo clearly showing the fourth teeth of the lower jaw fully exposed (in case of crocodile), while it fits completely into the upper jaw in case of Alligator.
This is also a mature estuarine crocodile about 11-12 ft long which is commonly seen in the the Sundarbans. Some of them are bulky also. But none can match the 'dinosaur' posted by Shri Sabyasachi earlier.
    Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
