Nice capture, In my opinion its on perch preening, but you are the eye witness you know it better....
Nice behaviour captured. At 1/125 s it is very dificult to capture flying birds, In my openion it is not flying, Just started to take off.
Nicely captured, Thanks for sharing.

Anadji,
I think this is a case of illusion. The wing is stretched so its right leg is not visible. The left leg is being used to scratch its head. I don't think this pose is right aerodynamically for flight. Only Saktipada dada can comment about aerodynamics.

Incredible image.Lovely display of colours. It is the breeding season-full of energy, heavy wings, not much flapping,it has just left the perch, it has to somehow fly,as I see it.
Shri Sabyasachi is perfectly right, this particular positioning of the left leg has no role in flying, it is being used for scratching or removing some irritants. Both legs have to remain under the belly/wings in full flight. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild
P.S.:A thing of beauty is a joy for ever-John Keats.
