    Default Sleeping black buck

A Black buck fast asleep at Thengumarada. The same place where i had pictured the buck showing its back to the lens . . . .

Nice to see one black buck taking rest. Some more space at the left and less at the right would have enhanced the composition. Thanks for sharing.

Nice relaxed pose captured. The low angle adds to the composition. Good details. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image of the buck resting Rajanji. Its seems you were far off else it would have woken up by the sound of your vehicle or foot steps. Appreciate the fact that you didnt disturb its slumber . Thanks for sharing.

This was a memorable experience which remains fresh in my memory. We were resting at the Forest Guest house at Thengumarada that afternoon and the locals informed us that a herd of Black bucks were seen on a clearing half a KM away. We walked with our camera and tripod and as we got closer the terrain became tougher with the dried leaves (that you can see in the picture as well) making a lot of noise. We had to gingerly step on soft ground inching forward and nearing the clearing saw a whole herd and this one was fast asleep. We sat behind the bushes, used the mirror lock to prevent shutter sound and went trigger happy for over 20 minutes before leaving them alone and getting back. Dad, you should post the vertical of this one after he awoke . . . . I liked that better.
