The wings and the rear part of the body is in focus. As the head is away is not covered by the depth of field. The clean background looks nice. Wish you get it more closer next time. Thanks for sharing.

Tried this shot with A-DEP mode of 550D. Understand that this mode picks nearest AF points for focusing. Also aperture selected by this mode was at the bottom-most & hence could not get sufficient depth of field.
