    Found in most of the Indian mainland excluding North-East region after North-Bengal and also not found in Indian Island.Indian rock python may overlap with its sister species Burmese python in North India.
    Indian Rock python is one of the most threatened species due to-Road kill mortality;killing due to conflict in agricultural fields and around water bodies due to its large size;due to miss identification and confusion with venomous species Russells Viper which shared almost same kind of habitat.
