I agree that it is a nice subject to photograph. However, it is also tricky because the depth of field becomes a big challenge. The size of the head in comparison to the feathers is much smaller. So while photographing, most of the times the head doesn't get covered by the depth of field. When we blow up the image into large prints, the lack of details in the head stands out.

Another way is to create a pictorial image of peacock in its habitat. Most of the times those images remain etched in our memories. Thanks for sharing.
