Can you pls post a little more detailed 'driving directions' to Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary ? I did see the 'take the U turn under the bridge' but some more details - especially from the SHAR road would be of great help.

Nelapattu is easily accessible from NH5. It's just a KM or so off the highway. Straight on NH5, cross the toll gate, which comes after Sulurpet. After around 10KM you will come across an over-bridge. You have to take underpass and go to the right. Soon you will see the board that says "way to nelapattu bird sanctuary".

We saw some pelicans, which I guess had stayed back due to late hatching of their chicks. If you are planning to visit, I would suggest you zip off soon.
