Canon Launches Cine Servo 11-55 mm T2.95-3.95 lens
Canon has launched a high end innovative ultra-wide angle zoom lens meant for broadcast as well as cine professionals who demand premium quality. This lens is meant for 8K shooting. One can use it for sports, live events etc as well as for narratives and documentaries. The ultra-wide angle of 11mm will be helpful in tight spaces like caves and small rooms. One should remember that 11mm is for S-35 sensor. For filming in full frame one needs to engage the 1.5x built in extender. So that makes it 16.5mm at the wide end.
The price of USD 33300 makes it a rental item for most people. It comes in both RF and PL mounts.
