Nice sighting. Its good you got it mostly in the open. The eye contact is nice. Its quite difficult to photograph as it is found high up on the tree tops. You were already using ISO1600, maybe using a narrower aperture would have been good to get more details. Thanks for sharing.

wider aperture like f4, f5.6 etc will give you a shallow depth of field. Narrow apertures like f8, f11, f16 etc would give you a deep depth of field ie more areas infront and behind the subject would be in focus. The question is whether you were trying to get the background in focus or out of focus.

if the leafs at the background is sharp my subject is not actractive this light is over time was 11am
