I dont think high ISO would have helped there. May be EV at +1 could have helped.
Yes you are right. I guess I didnt crop it properly.

Thanks Mridul
Yes you cant ask more from a P&S. I love my P&s camera and still use it quite a bit.

This was almost a surprising appearance of this owlet during my hike to Balaram near Palanpur (Gujarat), it was a couple but one would be Camera shy while this posed just for single shot no retake....
Shot at Narara in early morning light.

Nice shot, superb composition. I agree about enhancing the contrast.

The shot below is a different crop of the earlier one I posted here. I tried framing too.

gotta agree with Sabyasachi,
You can crop a bit more from the bottom and place the bird in a leftside of the frame.
BTW great shot with nice details and bkg.
Atindra
Great shot Adi,
Lots of details preserved in extremely difficult situation too. But I would love a tad bit underexposed and bit more contrasty to have the main subject of interest standing out.

This report I read in Daily pioneer website, I like this newspaper very much. I love the way they cover wildlife and environmental concern and not just glamour/fashion world.

Thanks Sabyasachi.

Thanks Sabyasachi. I am hunting that one again in this week end.

Thanks Mrudul.

Great shot Sudipto. Can you please include exif details and post processing steps? Shot seems little soft, may be we can help suggesting some steps that can enhance the shot.
Atindra
Dear Sudipto,
Quite a nice found. But it seems to me that bird is not in focus rather camera has focused on little right side of bird and a bit back.
Atindra
Glad to see you here, I saw you on INW. Your images are fantastic.

Here is my photo at my work desk.

Thank Mrudul, I agree and got your point. The thing is there was a wall between us. RWL was roaming in a plot fenced by concrete wall and I just shot from the wall as its someone Else's property.
...
absolutely agree with your suggestion for composition but the only problem was there was a Mangrove on mud in foreground making that angle a bit problematic.
I think I have one more shot of this,...
Thanks for welcome message.
You mean my photograph? or Avatar?
Atindra
Sorry, cant help with ID but composition is nice and image is clean too. Seems somewhat soft and could see some noise grains/or some compression artifacts in the background.
Atindra
Wonderful image and great composition, just a little bit more DOF would have given nice impression of its tail. But nonetheless image is outstanding.
Atindra
Wonderful shot. If its a crop, it is tad a bit tight for my liking.

Thanks Chitrita. I knew about the bill-distraction but couldnt resist to post seeing overall merit of the image.
Atindra
Thanks Aditya,
With its beak properly seen it would have been a cracker shot. I like the spot-on colors.
