Sunset in Bokkapuram
Caught the first light, one of my favorite Ber trees in the foreground
Hi Rajan, will post the EXIF details. Thanks, i did get very close to this herd. it was in masinagudi. Wish you all do get to come to see that place when i am around sometime, i'm quite sure you all...
will keep that in mind Sabyasachi, thanks. but sometimes it is so difficult as in seconds he goes under the leaves and sits under for over an hour so i just got what i got. i have posted another snap...
Thanks bibhav,
couldn't avoid the peacock scat in the background though lol :D. this male used to come with 4 hens, got other pics of them.
Hi Bibhav,
The sky was overcast in the evening and light was kinda low, guess thats why the pictures are soft.
Regards,
Hari
There was too much back light, any suggestions, how i should be photographing in the situation???????????

Another shot of the same beautiful rat snake i posted earlier. He's distinct as in his tail seems to be cut off. He is a good 10 feet in length.
This snake is a regular around our place, been seeing him for 2 years.
Thanks Rajan,
your re-post does make it look better.
Regards,
Hari
There was heavy mist settled in the valley below, you can see it rising on the right bottom of the picture.
He was in the process of nesting, can see a little dried glass in his beak. The air has succesfully nested on a beam in our house for the last 2 seasons.
Was lucky to get this close without her moving away.
He is a regular in our area, been watching him for 3 years now. This shot was taken in March '07.
Another shot of the Rat Snake posted earlier.
Cicada on a window mesh
Suggestion much appreciated Mrudul, best i could do considering he was moving so much.
Thanks for identifying the insect Abhishek.
Regards,
Hari
I've seen these crawling around mainly during the Monsoons. If anyone can help identifying this insect, i'll be thankful. I'm told it packs in quite a sting.
Getting a couple of clear noise free shots was quite a challenge with this juvenile rat snake. The are surprisingly agile and quick.
Hi Mrudul,
This is a part of the same series, it shot in a hill station in the south called Kodaikanal. I had gone there on a break, and no i dont live in that area.
