Good one Kaustav, like the compo and a nice feel to this image. a wider aperture wud have given you better shutter speed.

Roopak
Nice composition. I liked the stare. The slanting rock looks nice. Agree with Roopak using a wider aperture like f7.1 or f6.3 would have given a higher shutter speed. How long was this sighting? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Rupak and Mrudul, agree on the aperture...was actually trying out various combinations to see where I get the sharpest shot. This particular one stood out not for the settings used but for the pose and the frame. This sighting was close to 1 hour....started with Charger and the cubs, then sighting Zara behind this ledge, then the cubs coming over to Zara...thereafter night fell and Zara and the cubs were joined by Charger. The while family (5 leopards!) was an unique sighting in the night....and then they came down to within 20 ft of the jeep buy it was too dark and they were moving too fast for any decent shot....all in all a memorable and exciting experience. Observed and learnt new behavior patterns...will share once I complete the album and postings
