Default Wild ecosystem of Bera forest

If you go to Bera, you will find that most of the tourist activity and sighting of leopards - Zara, Charger mainly, happen close to a farm area which has a huge hillock called Liloda. This hillock and the farm area is skirted by a metre gauge railway track. Beyond this track lies the unexplored (largely) Bera forest. This is a shot deep inside the forest where we explored. This is from the top of a massive rocky ledge atop a hillock, where we had the good fortune to see a wild leopard, early morning (see the earlier post at:http://indiawilds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11600. See the shot lower down and not the 1st 'noisy' one in this post). In the distance lies the Jawai Bandh (reservoir) which has recently been given protected status by the Rajasthan government.

    Shot with the Nikon D90, Nikkor 70-300, 300mm, ISO 400, 1/500s - F/6.3
