This small female sunbird single handedly(or should say single beaked) took on the task of nest building.I noticed that the male came on regular inspection visits but I never noticed him helping in any way.

She was a whirlwind of activity
A lot of acrobatic moves were also incorporated
She performs all the moves required to get the job done
Wonderful serial. The crafty tiny sunbird's nest built over a period of say, one week looking like a purse; has been documented by a nature lover with so much of dedication and skill. True, there is no proven record of a male sunbird extending a helping hand to build the nest.
Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
Nice series of photographs showing the nest building activity. Nicely documented. Thanks for sharing.

Very neatly done. Last year I had observed a loten's sunbird engaged in nest building on a wire in our home, but by the time I noticed the nest was almost complete, this gives an idea of how the structure comes up. so important to spend time and document how life goes around us in perfect balance .... will certainly help in getting our perspective right.
