I agree with Saktida, looks like an Indian Cuckoo. Looks like the bird was far. Thanks for sharing.
Since this individual appears to have vertical streaking on the belly (as opposed to horizontal barring), and more brown on the head than white, I feel it might be a Common Hawk Cuckoo Hierococcyx varius. This might need more discussion, do you have any other images?

As per Birds of the Indian Subcontinent field guide of Nikhil Bhopale -
PLATE 51-4- Common Hawk CUckoo (Brain fever bird) Hierococcyx Varius
size-34cm,
ID - Smaller and smaller billed version of large hawk cuckoo,
ID - More ashy above
ID - Breast rufous and unstreked and baring on underparts more fine.
PLATE -51-12- COMMON CUCKOO (EURASIAN CUCKOO) Cuculus canorus
SIZE - 33cm
ID - Dark ashey -grey above
ID - Tail blackish brown, spotted and tipped with white. Pale ashy gray on throat and breast.
Narrowly cross-barred with black on white ventrally
PLATE -51- 11-INDIAN CUCKOO - Cuculus Micropterus
SIZE - 33cm,
ID - Like common cuckoo,
ID - Easily separated from them by the more widely spaced crossbars on belly/ underparts
Below Photograph is cropped to see detail. As per both birds under parts/ belly areas are different, on hawk cuckoo V types marks are there on Common Cuckoo belly marks are lining are there, on tail marks not clear but some white lines are visible, these marks on Hawk Cuckoo.
