    Default Eurasian Golden Oriole

Spotted this lovely bird with its mate this morning from my terrace. Backyard birding is not that good this year because of some buildings coming up near by. Spotted the Oriole pair, Bulbuls,Coppersmith barbets, a White breasted kingfisher and a Fantail flycatcher today. Also got a chance to work on my new Nikon 300mm f4 which got delivered just yesterday . Now to buy a 1.4x tc to complete the combination. This is a cropped image.

    Nikon D7000, f/4, SS 1/640, ISO 320, ec +.3, 300mm.

Nice one Murugan! Really love the eye contact here. Only wish the patch of light was a couple of centimetres to the left i.e. on the bird's eye. There is a bit of noise evident here.

    Congrats on the new lens.

Beautiful shot and congrats on the new piece of glass. The tricky lighting has actually helped you test the response of the lens to tough light patterns. Agree with Abhishek on the light patch a little towards the eye - would have made this beautiful composition simply magical . . . . good luck with the new glass.

    thanks for sharing
