It seems that you were shooting against the light and hence the lack of contrast. I am sure he would look majestic while on the prowl. There is sunlight in the background, so am wondering why ISO 1600. You could have lowered the ISO and used a bean bag to steady the lens. Thanks for sharing.

Nice sighting, hope you saw him all by yourself. I saw Sultan last October at Bhoot Khora, oblivious to atleast 200 tourist if not more, 10 canters plus 6 jeeps walking majestically.

Actually this photograph has been posted with bare minimum or ZERO PP , tiger was sitting under the dense tree and hence it was under shadow , possibly that might have prompted me to choose higher ISO.
