    Yet another beauty from Corbet..............Male black Necked Stork.
    The Black-necked Stork is a tall long-necked wading bird in the stork family.
    The massive bill is black and the legs are bright red. Sexes are identical except that the female has a yellow iris.
    They are extremely sensitive to environmental changes like water pollution, habitat destruction and human disruption around breeding sites.
    Canon 7D , Canon 300mm f/4.0L IS USM , 1/8000 , f/4 , ISO 1000.

    Nice take-off pose captured. Was a lower angle possible? Good eye contact. An off-centered composition with slight less space at the bottom and more at the top would have enhanced the image further. Thanks for sharing.

    The beauty of its open wings nicely captured.We rarely get to see these iridescent colours when it is just wading in shallow waters.Thanks for sharing.

    Nice to see it taking off. It would have been great to see a glint in the eye. You can post an image upto 1024 pixels on the longest side. In which area of Corbett did you shoot this image? Thanks for sharing.

    Dear Sabyasachi , I did tried to get glint in his eye by overexposing by +1/3 and +2/3 but then that case white feather were blown off.This was taken on smaber road in Dhikala zone.

    Dear Vipin,
    You will get the glint in the eye only if the light reflects in your direction. To understand it further, please do a simple exercise. Just ask a person to stand infront of a light source and you slightly shift your position to see where you can or cannot see the glint in the eye. If the person moves his/her head towards or away from you, then also you will see the difference.
