Nandur Madhyameshwar

Nandur Madhyameshwar is a prominent birding site of Maharashtra. Its basically a lake which has formed on flat lands because of the damming of river Godavari, a little away from Nashik city.

We went in the wrong season, there weren't any birds to speak of, but a few residents (river terns, swifts etc).

If you look at the image carefully, on the top left side of the lake, someone has created an embankment ready tone land filled. I am sure this is illegal. But of course, no one seems to care.

I had heard of this birding spot, but still not able to visit it . Nice to see this habitat. Was it clicked from a watch tower? Which camera and lens? Please post the EXIF details. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see this. Looks like there is another attempt at land grabbing. The colours looks a bit oversaturated.
