    Looks like highly cropped , eye contact is excellent. TFS. Over all loved it.

    yes it was under exposed .Image was taken in shadow with a bright sunlight in background , I think it work well with zero exposure compensation with spot metering.

    Here is an excellent peice written by patra sab quite sometime ago on this subject incidentally on a pic with the same bird and almost similar lighting situation. Since i read this over the years i have heard a lot of people lecturing learners like me on the relatives pro and cons of metering modes without making them understand the more basic and critical subject which is exposure and how a digital camera understands it. It also gave me a chance to snub some of those who thought they were experts on the subject....
