My first encounter with this brown beauty 'in Sanjay Gandhi National park'. Spotted this while trailing towards Gandhi tekdi at National park. It was too swift and wwas difficult to get captured in the frame among the dense, dried branches. After a long approach finally I could manage to get some decent snaps of the beauty. Confused, if its a male or a female

Beautiful... it is a female paradise flycatcher

The confusion can only be with a immature male and female... with immature males mostly you can see a hint of the streamers (the extended tail feathers) and also the crown and eye ring will be distinctly metallic blue. Females in general have a greyish throat instead of black.
