You had a rare opportunity to watch and photograph this behaviour. The long nails of the fore limbs can be seen in clear. Wish you had a higher ISO set. I understand changing the ISO would not have been possible that time. Thanks for sharing.
I think in the previous image I had posted Dunbar Brander's comment about sloth bear coming down from the tree at a great speed. I had myself seen one coming down from a tree and it was just couple of seconds. Too fast for us to lift the camera, aim, focus and click. Good that you could atleast click. Thanks for sharing.
