Default The freshly laid egg of a Great orange tip

Spotted along the Sati baug area of SGNP, it was surprising how such a big butterfly preferred low lying bush, probably its host plant, for laying the eggs. The area was a bit tight for me to capture the whole action of laying eggs, so preferred attempting to capture the freshly laid beauty

Oh, had never seen a butterfly egg before. How many eggs does it lay at a time? Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

AT a time I saw it laying just one egg, but it kept on laying on several leaves
