Default Leopard in Bandipur--A pensive mood

We saw this predator in what we assessed was an unusual attitude till we realized that his mate was lurking in the undergrowth refusing to be enticed out in the open. Nikon 7100+150-600mm ISO 800 F/8 1/500s on a very damp early morning in nov 2015.

A camera is a 'mind reading machine' in simple form; true from this image. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

Lovely sighting. I liked the pose and the head turn. The greenery adds to the composition. How long was the sighting? Thanks for sharing.

Sighting a leopard in the open is a big bonus. One doesn't see this everyday. Thanks for sharing.

Shyamala ma'am, looks like you are having an exceptional luck with Leopards, so many images of leopards in open, full body view in majestic poses; thanks for sharing . Is this image from a different visit than when you saw the mating pair on a tree.

I sighted this pair of mating leopards in Bandipur. But unfortunately could not capture the female. We were doing the Safari in those huge ridiculous buses and I could not photograph freely. This was also an early morning sighting in foggy conditions I sighted a mother with 2 leopard cubs also but unfotunately could not get satisfactory photographs. The earlier mating pair I sighted was in Kabini.
