Default The rolling of the eye

Spotted this beautiful juv jumping spider on a leaf and was keeping a cautious look out for any predators or/and prey and on noticing us on close proximity kept on moving from one end to other, of the leaf, to evade us. This frame was captured when it was, probably(my novice guess), checking out on my colleague who was busy photographing another spider on the left side, as it seemed to be peeping towards that area thru its hind eye

Experts can share details of why the right side of the eyes are dark while the other are pale

    EXIF:
    Canon 550D
    Canon 100mm macro
    F/13
    Shutterspeed 1/100
    ISO 400
    Handheld, Inbuilt flash fired

Nice. The eye colour could be a result of reflected flash light. The hind eyes are not used for primary vision, so I think it is unlikely that it was actually watching your colleague.
