    Default The infected one

    ID: Harvestman with Parasites

Spotted this huge but highly infected harvestman which was completed covered with tiny yet lethal parasites. Any idea how and why they get infected and does that effect the life span of the infected insect? Also this is a very common sighting on most of the invertebrates in Nagla trail, so are these parasites location based?

The red parasites can be seen very clearly. Were they mostly on the legs (as in the image)or on the whole body? Were the insects motionless, or continuing with their activity? Thanks for sharing.
