The prowler on the plant

ID: Weevil(ID help appreciated)

Spotted this mammoth sized weevil, my first encounter with such a huge one, while heading towards BNHS' CEC. It had perched onto the plant but was active and aware of its surroundings and almost instantaneously jumped off and fell as if dead. Lucky to get some shots before the dead act. After curious watching it started to move after acting stiff.
