    Default Bamni Falls

Went to Purulia last March with some of my friends. This one is taken on the last day of our stay there. There are a mythological saga behind the source of this falls. What I heard is that- in 'Ramayana', during the exile of Ramchandra, Laxman and Sita they stayed in Ayodha hill for some days. It was summer and there was heavy crisis of water. One day Sita asked Ramchandra to make a permanent solution of this crisis. He then threw his arrow on the ground and there appeared a well. It is known as 'Sitakunda'. Till now it never got dried up. All these are words that I came across the local people. They also believed that Sitakunda is the actual source of this little falls. I have a great question mark on this. By the way it is really a cute falls runs through the hill.
