Nice to see a barasingha Rucervus duvaucelii branderi from Kanha. According to Prater a good stag stands 135cm at the shoulder and weigs 170-180 kgs. The heaviest stag was recorded by Maharaja of Cooch Behar in 1908 and it stands at 257kg.
A lower angle, if possible, would have been great. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image. The hair of winter coat is coming off in matted strips and bunches. Crow is now its best friend for plucking hair. Brow tine is fine, antlers just good. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild
