    Default The triclops of Amboli

    ID: Wolf spider

A beauty amongst the ground foliage, this beautifully camouflaged anthropod had something very interesting in it that had stolen my attention. On closely observing thru the lens I realized this beauty had one less eye towards its front. Though it didnt seem to have lost it in any fight or misfortune, but more like it never had it, as there seemed to be no empty pocket in location of the missing eye

Interesting. One eye is not present and it doesn't seem like an injury . Good observation. Did you enquire about this condition?
    Thanks for sharing.
