    Default The balance...

    ID: Brown headed gull

An interesting interaction while heading back from a macro trail at Nagla, there seemed to be a huge flock of gulls enjoying the rising tide water and probably fresh catch of fishes, along the most unreliable/aging Versova bridge. While most of them kept low and flying just over the water level, from one end of the bridge to other, there seemed to be a few of them that came to the railing of the bridge and a few flying across the bridge through traffic, few of them coming too close to the incoming traffic. Though a disturbing sight at a deeper level, the birds seemed to find the well adjusted between the natural world and the materialistic world that we have woven around the nature. Here's one of them, balancing right on the edge of the nature and the human built worlds.

Its nice to see they have adapted well to their surroundings. The light was difficult but still the exposure looks fine. I know you wanted to show the busy road on the right, but just thinking if slight more space on the left and including just till the truck (with the yellow machine) on the right would have worked. Did you try any similar composition? Thanks for sharing.

I remember passing through that bridge and seeing these beautiful birds who are used to traffic and people. The shadow side of its head is towards you. So moving to the other side and shooting the bird along with the incoming traffic would have been better. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
