Edit: Title
Four horned Antelope - Male. Front pair of horns - just stud-like in this male, hind pair may be 10 - 12 cm long. Unique in being the only wild animal in the world having four horns. While the hind pair is on top of the head ( normal as in other antelope), the front pair is located just below, above the forehead. Rare sighting of this largely nocturnal animal, nice image. Thanks for sharing.

The above Four horned Antelope is also called Chousingha. It is uniquely Indian confined to peninsular India where Madam Shyamala has photographed. It is known for its exceptional leaping abilities. (Country Notebook : M.Krishnan : Page 2 : posted on 29.10.2012 in our Natural History section).

My mistake please rename as Chousingha.Thank you.
Great sighting of chousingha. How long did the sighting last? I remember watching chousingha in childhood days and wondering about the purpose of those two tiny stud like extra horns. Thanks for sharing.
