    A head-on encounter with Beddome's Cat Snake

    Boiga beddomei, commonly known as Beddome's Cat Snake, is a species of rear-fanged snake in the family Colubridae.

    Its a non-venomous snake & endemic o the Western Ghats of India.

    Wow that is a striking pose. The eyes look beautiful. Amboli is a place I am planning to visit for a long time? How were the sightings? Look forward to more. Thanks for sharing.

    Thannks Mrudul & Dada,

    This was shot in Aug-19 & Amboli was good for herps. Had a good time. Worth visiting in monsoon season at next available opportunity.

    Don't have a vertical shot in this pose. It was constantly changing its posture.

    We have been planning to go to Amboli but something or the other happens. Hopefully lockdown will get over.
