Default Ecosia Search Enginez Promises to Plant Trees with Every Search

Most of us are so used to Google as a search engine by inertia that we don’t even try another option.
I however have Ben using DuckDuckGo for many years now and don’t miss Google (though, to be honest, onSafari I use DuckDuckGo and on Firefox I use Google, but mostly search on Safari).

Ecosia is a new seach engine that plants trees where they ar needed as you search. I tried their search and found satisfactory results. All the while promising to protect your privacy.

Interesting. I have installed DuckDuckGo in the chrome. I use Safari for twitter and news sites. May be will try ecosia in safari and see.

Google have been intruding way too much. I had deleted facebook couple of years ago but realised recently that facebook has merely made my profile inactive. Guess Facebook is worse than Government and wants to hold on to our data for long. Whatsapp is owned by facebook though. So one way or the other they listen to you and track you.

Another problem I have with google is the search looks so very commercialised. It looks like it is only pushing large commercial sites which spend heavily in Google ads in the first few pages.
