    Default Village in Ladakh

This shot taken in Ladakh, shows the amazing landscape and how people have build their lives around it. All the houses are build in such way on the mountain slopes.

Equipment used Canon 350D and 18-55mm lens.

Yes I agree, amazing landscape, the people and their life styles.. Adaptation to nature at its best.
What is the name of this place/village? Looks like a small town/village very close to Leh ( I forget the name). I have been there ( drove down via Keylong/Gramphoo/Tanglang La)and plan to take another trip this coming summer. This time via jojila pass ( I hope I have the name/spelling right)

Yes we crossed this village on our way from Leh. The peculiar structure of the houses on the mountain slopes was very interesting so we got down to take pictures, but i cant remember the name of the village.

If we look carefuly in the centre of the picture, we see two human face like impressions on the mountain walls,, reminds me of movie 'The Mummy'

Yes, I had noticed the human face when I was looking at the monastery on the mountain top.

It is amazing there so many things you can observe in nature. :-)
