    I IDed it as a Rosy Starling (juv). Please confirm ID.

    This one is almost full frame. A sliver off the bottom for composition.

    Lovely shot. The down-stroke looks good. A higher SS to freeze the wing tips would have been lovely.
    It does look like a juv. rosy starling.

    Does Bif means Bird in flight . As Abhishek has said, the wing looks good. The eye contact is nice. I think some more sharpness would have enhanced the image further. Look forward to more .

    @ Mrudul: Yes BIF is Bird in Flight... should have put that in full.
    I was actually shooting this fella on a perch when it suddenly took off. On checking at full zoom, the image isnt very sharp. I will have to get better at this.

    Also one piece of advice reqd.
    When shooting which AF mode do you use...
    One Shot?
    AI Servo?
    AI Focus?
    AI Focus seemed the best option but it tends to sometimes get fooled when i take focus and recompose and refocuses. One shot on the other hand is difficult for Birds in flight. Please help.

    Yes it is better to write in full, since it will be easy for people to understand,

    About the AF mode, we have already talked about it .
