    Default 24 Male

Spotted this male in Ranthambhore NP in Zone 2. It was around 7:30 or 8 in the morning and this male was marking its territory, probably had already eaten as there were deers around but it showed no interest at all. We followed this male for around 5 mins. I had to take this shot hand held as I was in the last row of the Gypsy and no where to rest my bean bag.

    Canon 5D, Canon 100-400, F5.6, 1/100, ISO 400, hand held, full frame.

Nice behaviour captured. I liked the vertical composition. Could you get any photographs with it looking towards you?

Thanks Mrudul. Unfortunately I do not. We were mostly following him and he turn around for a bit to sniff the earth and it was on its way again. We had another Gypsy in front which kept blocking me every now and then and I did lose some opportunities then.

Nice image, would have been even better if you would got face 2 face. This is a collared Tiger, I beleive there are 2 collared Tigers in Ranthambore one is T17, i think this is T17 not sure though, as he keeps moving between Zone 3 and 2.

Praveen this is 24, it has a brown collar and I believe T17 wears a black collar if I am not mistaken.

And I believe T17 is a tigress. If I am not mistaken T17 had gotten rid of her collar as well.

I like the composition. Wish you had got it a bit sharper. The dark background puts the interest on the subject well. Thanks for sharing.

    Great capture.
Some more sharpness would have made it amazing!
(Wish the collar wasn't there )

However justified, it is soar to see tigers with collars.

I optimistically beleive, advanced science (with no effect to animal or its habitat) is soon discovered to do away with this radio collaring.

    Thanks for sharing.
