Suggestion for lens

Hi All,

I moved to Nikon & bought a D300 & 50 mm...
i have about 1 lakh rupees left for tele lens any suggestion for which one to go will help..

I always found Nikon not offering as much choice as canon does in terms of telephoto lenses. For a lakh of rupees, I cannot think of any lens that should suit bird/mammal photography. If the purpose is shooting wildlife, I suggest you to take a look at the sigma 120-300 f2.8 EX DG HSM OS which is retailing at USD 3100...BH photo have started taking orders for the lens See:

However, if your intention is not wildlife imaging, please do let us know what you will be shooting most of the time- one will be able to make better suggestions then
