Small blue Kingfisher

Captured near Ayodhya nagar lake, Bhopal. I was tried to shot in natural condition but failed to get a good shot .However I got it in temporary wire frame drawn by local farmer to run the pump for wheat farming.The angle was little higher.

Canon 40D, 400mm f/5.6,

Av mode ,ISO 200, f/6.3, 1/1250sec , 50% cropped, Handhold.

Its quite difficult to get birds on natural perches these days . A slight more head turn towards you would have enhanced the eye contact further. Wish it was closer. Thanks for sharing.

Hmm..if the birds don't mind the perches, why should we? Nice colors. Wish you had used a narrower aperture.
