    Default Purple rumped sunbird

    Nikon D3100
    Nikkor 70 - 300 VR

    EFIX - F 5.6, 1/ 100 SEC, ISO - 400

Slightly cropped from the bottom and the right side for composition. Would have liked the shutter speed to be slightly faster as the bird was constantly jumping around. Had to wait for more than an hour to get a clean shot of this beauty.
This image was shot at the outskirts of Palakkad in Kerala.

Nice composition.Colours have come out well.Higher shutter would have given better sharpness. Thanks for sharing

Cute bird. The perch and the eye contact is nice. I agree with the above comments, since these birds are very swift, we need a higher shutter speed to get more details and sharpness. You could have bumped up the ISO to get more shutter speed. Also was any sharpening done? Thanks for sharing.

Thank you all for the honest feedback.. Yes I too wanted to increase the shutter speed, but before I could even try the bird was gone

Mrudul ..I had done some level adjustments and sharpening using photo shop.
