It is a very satisfying image of a baby Common Cobra (Naja naja) releasing itself from its leathery egg by slitting the shell with its 'egg tooth',a special outward protruding tooth on the nose tip that is lost shortly after. After hatching, unlike mammal, the mother normally desert it.It has to survive from many many predators on its own.Just see it has raised its hood in defence soon after hatching. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
P.S.:Common Cobra (Naja naja) may have 'spectacled marking' on hood or 'no marking' at all.In Western and North Western India this marking is absent quite often. In Eastern India and North East, Indian (Monocled) Cobra(Naja naja Kaouthia) is more common than Spectacled Cobra.

Nice to see a baby cobra. A slight more space at the bottom than at the top would be good as the tail is touching the frame. Where was this photographed? Thanks for sharing.
