Hi Vikram,

Looks like the tusker just returned from a drink or a bath in the river. I have heard that usually large herds of elephants can be seen in Kabini during summer in the water. The tusker walking into the frame would have enhanced the composition further. You could have also possibly tried to include the tree tops.

Great going, spend more time in the wild life, am sure you will surely get beter and better opportunities.

I can only say something regards to the composition.

I agree it is not obvious that the pachyderm is returning after a shower (may be you were couple of minutes late), so you could have changed the angle and at least indicated the time of the day, however for this one needs good understanding of light and ISO settings / apertures values, this is where I struggle - how much light should you let in etc etc.

The image as is does not seem to carry a definite message.
